The Story That's Waiting on an Ending

In book series, the first few books doesn't really have an ending quite yet. It's not until the last book of the series is when the ending is revealed and all of are questions are answered... sometimes haha.

Anyway, sometimes situations in our lives are like book series. We have been going through many tunnels and have simply run out of all solutions. Some of us may feel like we're in that point of life where our story will never have an ending. Sometimes it doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a happy ending but some of us just want an ending to just have this issue off of our backs. There's one thing that's cool about our story though, it's that God already has our story written out from beginning to end. He knows what the finale will be, whether it's in the upcoming weeks or years. But we must trust him and surrender our will to his because all of his promises are "yes" and "amen"

I'm in a series in my life right now. I feel like in my life I've had many book series about different things. From 2010 I believe each year brought a new challenge. I didn't see the ending to something that happened in my life that started from 2011 - 2012 I believe. It was an ongoing process and it was like reading each chapter that had the same information in it. I didn't see a new chapter containing new possibilities or new meaning. It frustrated me to the core. My life felt empty everyday. But, God had an ending to that story and he will have an ending to this story that I'm in right now.

Some of you guys hear me talk about this often. But the story that I'm in right now is a story that's been going on for about two years now. I won't go into too many details but, I do want to tell you that it was on my mind a lot today and sometimes I just get tired of waiting for an ending to this story. It's like when the reader is just itching to know what is really going to end up happening. So, in my story there's a pair of friends who are a guy and a girl. They are both sort of shy people but relate to each other very well. These friends didn't talk to each other very much in the beginning of their friendship but, like a plant that has water and sunshine, it grew. Soon, these friends became best friends and best friends who soon had romantic interest in one another. At the first stages of these romantic interests they had, they were very excited about taking this new step in their lives, which is dating. But, the process wasn't so easy and due to family concerns and other interruptions regarding this relationship, it didn't happen at that moment. So, there's been back and forth problems amongst these friends but even with the problems the friends seem to be unbreakable. With two people who are strong in their faith, they kept going and trusted God's plans he has for them. So, they remained great friends for another two years and have shared many memories together. Now, the relationship that was supposed to happen is still up in the air. And, from time to time these friends still find themselves being unintentionally flirty with one another but realize that circumstances are still the same so they'll still get the same result but trying for a relationship as they did two years ago.

So, the female friend still has these feelings for her guy friend but still is looking for a way to take these steps to making something actually possible with them. She knows that she has a part in why things didn't happen for them but is continuously finding ways to fix this problem. She's determined, with God's help to find an ending to this story. Whatever that ending may be.  The thing that makes her really nervous is that her feelings have gotten stronger. She can't deny his good looks and charm and is sometimes hard to treat each other as "just friends" but by trying to go down that route again she knows it's probably not wise to make this decision at the moment. So, it's frustrating but, just like any other story in my life, God has an ending to this one too. And I believe I play an important role in it.

Maybe you have something you're going through that's just tremendously frustrated. Well, just imagine yourself immersed in God's great storybook, which is a story that's better than ours or ones try to write. When we try to change the story that God has already written, the story will never make sense. God has our story already published and in the bookstore, but we just have to keep reading all the way until the end even though the story will never seem to be finished and make sense.

I want to leave you guys with these scriptures about God's plan.

Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Psalm 33:11 (NIV)

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm youplans to give you hope and a future.

Don't close the book, keep reading until you see God's amazing ending.
