Indie/Indie-Folk Compilation - Autumn/Fall 2018 (1½-Hour Playlist)

Since I'm talking about fall I decided to share this cool playlist with you guys!

How To Spend a Perfect Fall Day

Well, Fall is officially here! And I can feel it in the air. I've already had to pull out my sweaters and boots. I have also accomplished one of my fall goals already! I visited the Storyteller's Cottage in Simsbury; which is a place that offers many writing classes and events. I've ben wanting to visit that place for the past couple of months now and now I have my first class already set up. This time of year is truly beautiful and really warms my heart, (especially when I have a good cup of cocoa😋)

I wanted to write about what would make a perfect Fall day. Here's some of the options I came up with:

1. Talk a walk and nature watch (if that makes sense but y'all get what I'm saying)

2. Listen to some cool indie/folk music (if you're into that kind of music.)
3. Visit a unique coffeeshop (either by yourself or with someone but to me it makes the experience way more cooler with someone there)
4. Go Hiking (this just seems like a cool thing to do during the fall time while also seeing some cool sights!)
5. Go listen to some acoustic bands or artist at a cafe
6. Read a book in the park
7. Go Apple Picking
8. Visit a pumpkin maze and carve pumpkins!

Well, if these events don't scream fall I don't know what does! Let me know if any of these ideas seem appealing to you as far as how you would spend a fall day. I for one am going to try to do all of these things.

Also, I will be posting blogs at the beginning of the month and towards the end of the month. So like two blogs a month. I feel I'm able to keep up better this way and provide much better posts. Feel free to give me some feedback.

Until then, happy fall!😊

Fall PlansGoals

Well. September is here! I already smell the pumpkin goodness in the air. I truly love everything about the fall. From the beauty of the leaves to the delightful pumpkin muffins at dunkin haha. Summer was decent for me but, I believe that fall has so much more to bring. With that being said, I am going to tell you about some of my upcoming fall plans and goals. Here it is!

1. Niall Horan Concert - I have been waiting for this concert since last September haha, now it's only less than a week away! I plan on doing a lot of livestreaming on my social media sites so, be on the lookout.

2. Big Choir Weekend - Singing in the choir period is always a joy to me, but singing with a big number of people of all ages is even more fun! Besides, isn't that what the body of Christ should look like anyway? I look forward to an incredible weekend.

3. The Big E - Ok, this isn't like a certain plan but I have been planning on going and have been wanting to go for some time now. I am on a budget haha, but going to the Big E would be the cream cheese frosting on the pumkin cupckae😋

4. Writing Classes - I'm super excited about furthering my writing career and I feel like taking these writing classes are great next steps. For some reason, I think writing feels even cooler or more special in the fall time while sitting in a cozy coffeeshop. But then again, writing is always special for me. I'm glad that this opportunity has opened up for me once again.

5. Visit a New Coffeeshop - This goal is just a must for a coffee lover like me! For those of you that live in the CT area, I'm open to suggestions about any coffeeshops you may know of, (besides Dunkin and Starbucks haha)

6. Find Some New Good Reads - Finding great books are such a challenge for me, but I am determined to find at one really good book or a really good series. Once again, I'm open to any suggestions folks. Let a girl know😊

7. Be Consistent with my Bible Plans - Reading Bible plans on my Bible app is truly a great way for me to start my day. What I love about it is that it offers so many plans covering so many different topics. It's sincerely one of the best things ever created. Thank you Youversion!

8. Spend Time with Friends - Yes, this was a summer goal of mine but unfortunately, I guess summer just wasn't the season for hanging out with friends. Even though it may be a bit more difficult with my friends having school and work now, I believe a way will be made for us to spend more time together on a regular basis. God knows how important this is to me and how much fun and excitement it brings to my life. I believe having a healthy social life helps keep you healthier as a person. I really do pray that I can achieve this goal this fall season and the next seasons also!

I have so much to look forward to this fall season. I'm praying that I'll be a stronger christian, fearless, determined and an inspiration to many people that I may meet. Whether it's in the fall season or the next season, I'm praying God will use me mightily and miraculously. I know that having goals is great, but I believe it's about time to achieve it.

Tell me what you guys are doing this fall season. Are you just in the first week of a new school? Did you get a anew job? Is this your first job? Whatever it is, I'm really excited about hearing it. Iknow some of you guys may not be much in leaving comments or responding to my posts, but if you are sort of into writing like me, I'd really appreciate hearing your response about any of my posts.

That's all that I have for now. I decided to give you guys a back to back post! One about summer ending and fall beginning. I felt it was appropriate. I absolutely love writing blogs!

Kick the leaves, sip pumkin lattes, stay warm and cozy in a sweater and scarf!💛

My Summer Review

Well, Summer has seemed to gone by in a flash. I must say, I didn’t really do a whole lot this summer. A lot of plans got canceled because of weather and such.

The highlight of my summer might’ve been the Collinsville Hot festival. It’s an annual festival that my town has. I watched African dancers and the rest of the event was surrounded with many arts& crafts for kids and ice cream treats!😋🍦

Me and my sister stayed for about an hour and then walked home.

Another good moment from this summer has been connecting with more people I suppose. From church to work, I feel like I’ve connected with quite a bit of people. I’ve had my moments where I didn’t feel confident enough to make friends but, I’ve proven myself wrong lately and God gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone.

I’ve also watched some pretty good movies. I went to see Incredibles 2 and Hotel Transylvania 3, (I know, I’m a big kid).

I suppose I have more fall plans than I did with summer. I was suppose to go to Hike to the Mike which is a music festival with local artists performing. This is another annual event happening in Simsbury every August but, it got canceled because of the rain. To end out the summer, I attended the worship & arts BBQ. The food was bomb and the games were enjoyable.

For the most part, I was pretty satisfied with my summer but I’m looking forward to what fall will bring. I have a few things lined up for September that I’m going to share with you guys soon.

Let me know how your summer was. Remember to subscribe, comment and share! Spread the word about Kammy’s blog😊

Songs That Remind Me Of...

I don’t know about you, but I’m always visualizing things while listening to certain songs. I thought it be a cool thing share with you guys about what it is that I visualize while listening to certain songs.

Callum Pitt “Least He’s Happy” - This song has a really nice relaxing sound to it. It starts off with a nice acoustic guitar and then the verses are sang softly by Callum Pitt as he’s telling a story through the song. The song reminds me of just walking through a park on a warm sunny day. It reminds of like swinging on swings and just generally being really happy haha😊
The song also just reminds me of like memories throughout my life. Like my most happiest moments.

Aly & AJ “In a Second” - This song reminds me of a certain someone... it kind of reminds me of how I feel about him. I like to tell you guys about him just because I guess I feel like it’s a story that’s waiting for an ending. But it reminds me of him, especially the part where it says “don’t know how you feel. You seem to keep it to yourself.” It’s a sweet song in general. I really love old school Aly & Aj songs. I think this song used to remind me of a crush when I was about 11 or 12 haha. So, I suppose as I got older the song had even more meaning.

Hillsong United “So Will I (100 Billion x)” -  I simply love every word that is sang in this song. It just does something to my spirits and my heart. This song just reminds me of responding to God but saying “if you have done this, then so will I” it’s like giving back to God. I am absolutely in love with the bridge, each time I listen to it, my heart rumbles. It gives me such confidence that our God is so faithful to his word and he just wants to have a relationship with us if we’re willing to sacrifice in some ways. This song is just a beautiful reminder of how privileged we are to have a God that would give us so much that we don’t even deserve. At least, that’s my meaning of it.

Evanescence “My Immortal” - This song reminds me of myself singing in a long, beautiful gown with my brother playing the piano for me. Even though it’s not necessarily a happy song, I can’t help but smile when I listen to it because I dream about myself singing this.

Young Guns “I Want Out” - This song reminds me of being at a really energetic concert haha. I just imagine like jumping around with a circle of people until we are tired and pass out (not because we’re drunk but because of the high energy)

This was a fun topic friends. I’m sure you guys have some songs you listen to that reminds you of something. I’m sure I have more I can add to this list! But I’ll leave it right there for now and if I think of more to add, I will edit this post and put it in there. Make sure you’re checking my blog for new updates.

Originating Change Within Me

Recently, I made a list of ways that I have changed within the last ten years. I compared the things I wrote about and thought about in my ...
