What is Your New Year's Resolution?

It's already almost a new year. It's unbelievable!πŸ™† but whenever the new year comes, people come up with some kind of goal to make themselves a better person. So, what will your New Year's Resolution be? I'll start with telling you what mine is.

I would like to give God more of my time. Oftentimes I try to set goals to pray and read the Bible in the morning time but usually get distracted and I don't end up doing it until late in the evening. But this year I really want to make my time with God my number one priority.

I also would like to be more positive and have more faith in God. 2017 has been a challenging time for me with my faith but I'm praying that I'll have stronger faith in God by seeing the outcomes of my circumstances where God has came through.

This year I would like to shine my light even more brightly than what I do now.

This year I want to be more committed to writing and pursuing my goals and dreams in general.

This year I want my friendships to grow stronger and flourish like they never have before. I would like to try to resolve issues that hasn't been resolved yet. I would like to be more understanding and caring and helpful.

I pray that God will make me a stronger person overall. I know that I've had some icy spots on this walk of life, but I pray that God will pour his salt on these sidewalks that I walk so that I won't slip and fall. He will outstretch his hand toward me to give me a lift.

I'm excited about the great things God will do in my life this year. I would say I've accomplished a lot this year and have learned many things. I know that new beginnings are here and that God will use me in miraculous ways. I've experienced many new things this year, I've had my ups and downs but I'm here and ready to go forth and take on whatever comes next. I know that I've come a long way and I know that I was created on this earth for a great purpose.

My next post will be about my plans for 2018. To start the new year week I am going on a fast, but this fast includes me taking a break from secular movies, music, books, etc... And just listen to christian music and do all Christian related things for a while week. I promise to write about how God's spirit will move through me this week of the new year. I pray that I'll have many great things to tell at the end of my spam fast.

What an exciting time of year it is! Oh! I also plan to listen to different year end music countdowns. Please give me your feedback about the post or any of my other posts. Seeing your feedback gives me motivation to keep doing what I'm doing. Thanks everyone who's supported my blog thus far. You are amazing! I can't wait to see more growth in my blog in 2018. Stay tuned for more posts about the new year. Until then, have a safe and happy new year!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ†☺😊

How I Celebrated Christmas❄πŸŽ„

Hello friends!

Christmas has come and gone but hopefully everyone's holiday was merry and filled with cheer!πŸ˜ƒ I certainly had a great holiday, and I'm going to tell just a little bit about what I did.

Firstly, I woke up and prayed and said "Happy Birthday" to my lord and savior Jesus Christ. Then I ate breakfast, listened to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies and TV programs, played a sorta boring game of Sorry and then me and my siblings took a Christmas walk and played in the snow a bit.

Finally, we ate a delicious dinner which was mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots, sweet potatoes, baked chicken and dinner rolls. Then, we opened presents! My gifts I got were great! Two headbands, nail polish, lipstick (what more can a girl ask forπŸ’) I also got a cute burgundy clutch and a backpack and... One republic T shirt!!!! Yes, yes and yes!

We then watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas (classic).

All that was it folks. It was a truly lovely day. Please tell me about your holiday. I'd love to hear about it.

Tug of War with Your Thoughts.

Hello there,

Do you ever have so many thoughts at once that you feel exhausted? Of course everyone thinks from day to day; whether it's a big test coming up, job interview or even simple things like what what to eat for dinner. Thoughts, negative ones for instance, really grabs a hold of you and creates anxiety and overwhelmness. At times I think and worry so much that my stomach aches.

My point is that I really wish that I didn't think so much because all it's doing is making me emotionally tired. There's so many things in my life that I wish was a lot simpler. So many things that seem to be spinning out of control. So many things that I wish I had answers to. I've been in this particular mixed up situation for awhile now and am still trying to find clarity in it all. I think about how things would be if it was exactly how I imagined them to be.

As One Thinks...

Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (NLV). In other words, what we think will be evident in our outward attitudes and actions. This means that our thoughts are nothing to take for granted. Our perspectives and thoughts hold the power to determine our attitudes and also our tomorrows. Fortunately, we get to choose what our tomorrows look like, one thought and one day at a time. In the words of Norman Vincent Peale, a popular minister and author, “Change your thoughts, and you change your world.”

True joy and a positive attitude come from the choice to change your thoughts, not from a problem-free life. So, sweet friend, let today be the first day of your new optimistic life. Let it be the first day of a fresh season of life where you begin living a life of optimism, seeing the glass as half full instead of half empty.

You are not alone in this battle. We can either give up or God-up, and when we God-up, He always shows up. As we sojourn through this book, we’ll be unpacking three God-filled strategies that we need to put into practice in our daily lives if we want to transform our thoughts, feelings, and lifestyles:

1) Notice negative thoughts.

2) Reject negative thoughts.

3) Replace negative thoughts.

Scripture reinforces the importance of these three steps: “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5). If you’re like me, you’ve always known this instruction was important but never really understood how to follow through. How do we take our thoughts captive and then change our lives? Well, we’ll be exploring just that as we move forward in this journey toward optimism and joy. Here's a devotional about negative thinking and I believe it has really blessed me. I'd like to share it with you all.

As you read, I pray that God will open the door of your heart and help you begin to let your faith be in control of your mind so you can take back your thoughts. If you are ready to be rescued, God is ready to pull you out of the muck of negativity and discouragement. My hope is that when you get to the last page of this book, you will find yourself on the shores of a breathtaking place you didn’t know existed—a beautiful land where a positive mind and an optimistic heart thrive.

Does anyone remember when I was talking about me seeing lovey dovey couples?  I wanted to recap on that. I see these couples and see how they seem to have life all figured out and they seem to be the happiest they ever could be. I always felt like that would never be me because I could never picture myself with someone. I don't if its because I feel like an outcast or shy or simply just not enough confidence. But, I've almost had that opportunity of probably being lovey dovey maybe and I almost feel really stupid now having those kinds of thoughts or feelings now because I guess it just seemed too much like a game. I don't know if we would have been hand in hand or googly eyed like all the other young couples but for awhile I sure hoped for something to happen. Even now, I can't say that I've let go of the thought completely but its kind of up in the air now and I'm not going to anticipate for any kind of possibility of something but just go with the flow and most importantly leave it in God's hands. Sometimes I regret of the whole possibility of a relationship happening because I wish it happened differently and at the right time. When I see couples I do get jealous and probably even a little annoyed but I'm getting better. Even though I feel like I've made a fool of myself I know I'll recover from this. And maybe, just maybe all hope isn't lost. Maybe at some point in life we can get together and it would be God's perfect timing or maybe things will stay how they are now. What's most important though is that we're leaving it in God's hands and there's no more drama or confusion. I'm thankful we're mature enough to eliminate all of the unnecessary and unhealthy stuff.

The reason why I called it "Tug of War with Your Thoughts" is because I often find myself fighting with my thoughts and continue to make myself try to keep my mind on positive things while fighting off the negative at the same time. So, I just wanted to share with you that our negative thoughts don't have to control us. But I've gone through some difficult things and I'm still fighting my way through them all. I have to trust God no matter what and "keep calm and pray on."

I know God's plan isn't to keep us confused forever. He knows what's best for us.

What Five People Would You Invite To Your Party Famous Or Infamous?

Hello lovely people!

I know my posts have been kind of quiz-like but I like to keep things fun a bit, almost like you're reading a teen magazine.

So, onto the question. Here's my list of people I would invite to my party:

Lacey Sturm

John Cooper of Skillet

Ryan Tedder

Britt Nicole

Meridith Grace (youtuber)

Ok, my list is all famous people, well... That's the people I would really like to come to my party. If you care to do so, please leave your comments and let me know who you would invite to your party. It can be any type of party.

If You Could Spend $1,000 anywhere where would you spend it?

This is a tough question. $1,000 is a lot of money! If I had to choose I would pick a store that has a variety of things like Walmart, target or best buy. I would pick Best Buy.
I
would buy a new phone, (which would equal to around $200)
A
 phone plan ($35-$50)
A
laptop for the price of $600 (that will take a big chunk)
I
would buy headphones for the price of $100
A
nd with the last $100 I would buy a couple of CDs and a iTunes or amazon gift card.

My list isn't all practical but hey, if you got a thousand bucks all in one place you might as well go big. You only live once, right?

Of course at the end of my posts I always ask my readers to leave comments, so if you can kindly leave your comments and let me know where and what you would spend $1,000 on. Please keep in mind that it would have to be one place. Also, please feel free to give me your suggestions on how I can make my blog better and more enjoyable.

Snowy Day Activities!❄

Well, winter is on its way and we all know what that means... Snow! Watching the snow fall outside of my window is the most beautiful thing. But, even though it's beautiful it can be b oring stuck inside all day. So, I came up with a list of a few activities that I have done on a snowy day.

Bake delicious winter treats like cookies, brownies, muffins and all of that good stuff.
Watch movies and eat the delicious treat you've made.
Play board games
Try to write a short novel (hey, you never knmow what could come of it.)
Read a book with a warm fleece blanket wrapped around you.
Listen to cool indie playlists (if you're into that kind of music).
Lastly, make a snowman!⛄

And that is the list of activities to do on a snowy or rainy day! Please let me know what you think of these ideas and if you'll try some of these ideas for yourself. Or,let me know of some of your own ideas you have for activities on a snowy day.

"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas"

Hello friends!

Boy oh boy do I love the holidays. Christmastime has sprung up on me so fast! But the feeling of Christmas is like none other. So, I promised that I would tell you guys my holidays plans in my next post and here it is:
Go to Christmas events in my town like caroling and/or winterfest that's happening this Saturday. I already went to one Christmas event in my town and that being the Christmas tree lighting that was this last Sunday. Though it was cold, it was a fun event. Cocoa, caroling and of course tree lighting!
Volunteer for Prince of Peace Christmas production at my church.
Attend Worship & Arts Christmas party (which is also at my church).
Go Christmas shopping at the mall (though I've already done a little at kohls).
Go to the movies
Watch my own Christmas movies from my tablet
Sitting in Starbucks at Christmastime is always fun.
Lastly, attend the Christmas Eve service at my church.

Well, between now and the next few should be pretty fun for me. Please leave your comments and let me know what your holiday plans are this year. Don't be shy now, leave those comments so I could get a good idea of who's reading my blog posts. OK, that's all for now. Much love to ya! XoxoπŸ’•http://prissypatrice.blogspot.com

Cold December Nights

Hello lovely people! I'm so sorry that I've been behind with my blog posts but guess what? I'm back and I'm here to stay. I've been a bit busy but I've invested in a little tablet to help me stay on top of my blogging and regular writing daily and on the go.

I love love this time of year. I recently saw an Instagram post that my church crossroads posted and it was about why you're happy that December is here I believe. So, this is what this post iis about mainly, welcoming in December and christmas and me explaining about what this time of year means to me.

This time of year is the time where it brings family and friends together and even those outside of our family or friends. It's a time of joy and Thanksgiving. This time of year makes me realize how much I'm loved by God and how wonderful he is. I'm so thankful for the most wonderful gift of all and that's Jesus Chrizt.

Christmas also always brings me a warm feeling inside. I love warming up by the fire, sipping on coffee or cocoa and reading a great book. Holiday time makes me think about love, which for most people it would be romantic love but I think about all kinds of love. I always feel left out when it comes to the romantic department. I see those lovey dovey couples around me and wonder why that kind of thing in my life I just can't see happening. Any who...

Happy December to all. I love what this month will bring. In my next post I'll talk about some holiday plans I have and have already done.

Hohoho πŸŽ…πŸŽ„πŸ‘ΌπŸ™πŸ˜ƒ☺

The Meaning Behind my Blog Name

Hey blog readers! My Thanksgiving was good (despite having to bring my dinner to work) but I was with the fam and watched the parade and I even colored my cutout turkey and pinned it on the door (well... Kayla did all the coloring and I put it on the door). Anyway... it wasn't complete craziness at my job but I was beat after working for so long. I got off of work at 1am (past my bedtime hehe).

Well, I wanted to explain to you guys the reason why I named my blog 'Write 4 Life" it's pretty self explanatory actually. I write whenever i'm sad, mad, happy and everything in between. Writing is like my therapy (as well as music) writing helps me to express my feelings when I can't express them well with my audible voice. Writing gives me joy. I write about almost anything; my struggles, my accomplishments, big events I've attended, news stories, devotionals and many other things.

What can I say? Writing is a big part of my life and I wanted to think of my blog as a public journal. This blog will give people an inside look of my life.

Writing is my passion and that's why I hope to continue to have a burning passion for writing for as long as I live. And I hope my writing can change many lives one day. That's why I write for lifeπŸ“’✏😊

Things I've learned in the past five years

Hello lovely people!

So, as you guys may have known (or not) I just turned 22 and I wanted to share about some things I've learned in my adult years or just in my life period.

I would say that I've learned to really lean on God because I've gone through many tough situations where I've depended on people to come through for me but just when I needed them most, they let me down. And I've been let down multiple times. So, through this hurt and disappointed, God really opened my eyes to realize that God is really the only source for all of our problems.

I've also learned to be more patient. Patient for things that I want to see change in my life and being more patient with those closest to me like my family and friends.

I've learned how to navigate conflict. Before I entered adulthood, I didn't deal with many people so I never had to learn how to handle conflict outside of my family. I feel like conflict with my family is a bit easier to resolve than conflict with friends. I'm still learning about my friends, but with my family I feel like I know there is to know about them. So, with the different personalities and everything and still being new to having relationships with people outside of my family. So, dealing with different people has been the biggest struggle in my life so far.

I've also learned to have more faith and not predict when God is going to do something but trusting in his word and believing that he'll sustain me. I've learned to let God have the upper hand on all of my circumstances because if I don't, I'll feel like I'm losing control and overwhelming myself.

I've learned a lot about emotions and how controlling they can be if you let them. Of course, as I've already discussed in a previous post that I had a season of sadness and I was very hard on myself in that season. Thinking things like "no one will ever accept me" and "I'll never be good enough" and all of those kinds of things. But, I'm learning how to have more control of my emotions and what I'll allow myself to think about or believe.

More lighthearted thing I've learned is writing more effectively and creatively. I've learned how to project more with my singing voice. I've been more committed to both singing and writing this year and am praying for an open door to allow me to use my God given gifts.

I've learned a bit more about cooking. um... I think i've learned a ton this year. Which is something i'm very proud to say. If more comes to mind i'll edit this post and add it in.

Are you a Pessimist or a Optimist?

Hi Everyone!

I was reading this book about writing and it had many great questions to ask yourself inside the book. It was called Juicy Writing. I thought it was a very good book and it really made me think. I'd like to know are you mostly a pessimistic or a optimistic?

Of course, I wish I was a bit more optimistic at times. Especially in the worst of times I have to admit I'm not able to see any good while I'm in the moment of a hard time. I'm a worrier also so I guess I'd consider myself a pessimist more so than a optimist.
But lately what's been helping me become lifted in the midst of a hard time or bad day is sitting in a peaceful place listening to great peaceful Christian music or inspirational music and just allow God's divine peace to soak up my heart. As I sit there in my chair near the window, I look out the window and observe God's many beautiful creations.

And of course, since we all aren't perfect, I have my days where I just don't feel any ounce of inspiration or happiness whatsoever. I keep my head down and stumble along almost like the world is going on around me but I'm not even aware of what's really going on. At times I tend to build up so many negative thoughts that it's hard to escape it.

So yes, being a pessimist is a struggle for me. But it's just another thing to add to the list where I need God's help. And the great thing about that, God doesn't care how long our list of "I need help" is because he's patient and always able and ready to assist.

3 Movies I Don't Like and Why

Hey guys!

Everyone has a movie they love and hate. I'm gonna name 3 movies that I've truly disliked.

1. Avatar - Because it's boring and I really don't get what it's about. To me it just seems like it's about naked blue people hehe.

2. Paper Towns - this movie had too much profanity in it and plus it just was really cheesy. I don't remember me liking it even in the slightest.

3. The Spectacular Now - this movie was really disappointing once again too much profanity and sexual content. If all teens movies continue to have these awful storylines I believe it can really make teenagers feel cheap. It's almost like the people that makes these movies thinks teenagers will watch anything. I'm telling you, the things that are out now for teenagers is just awful.

That's my list - I could add another 5 bad movies if I wanted to but I won't. Please feel free to share your list of movies you disliked.

How To Be Happy Devotional

How To Be Happy - As teenagers, there are so many emotions experienced on a daily basis. Discovering how to handle all of them can be a challenge. If you feel feelings—any feelings at all—then this plan is for you.: As teenagers, there are so many emotions experienced on a daily basis. Discovering how to handle all of them can be a challenge. If you feel feelings—any feelings at all—then this plan is for you.

Even though this plan is geared towards teenagers, i've found great encouragement by reading it. Right now i'm in a season of sadness a bit. There's a lot of areas where i feel like i'm failing and it makes me feel weak. I get up every morning hoping for change but never see it even in the slightest.

So, I'm beginning to learn to master my moods and not let my emotions be the ruler over my life. I'm beginning to know that joy won't come from money or material things or romantic relationships etc... On its own but true joy comes from God and once you have the joy of the Lord it'll begin to spread over all of the other areas of your life. Slowly, I'm beginning to break out of my sadness and truly begin to draw my focus more and more on God. Yes, I fail and mess up and get discouraged again, but God pulls me up whenever I get knocked down and I have to trust him wholeheartedly that he'll continue to pick me up and help me when I'm down.

The ways I keep myself happy most is when I'm doing something that I love like, singing, writing, reading and of course, blogging!

Having great people in my life like my family and friends also makes me happy.

So tell me, what makes you happy? And please consider reading this great devotional, it definitely gave me a lift. Maybe it won't be the same for you but I enjoyed reading it.

My favorite things about holidays

Holidays, don't we all love them? I sure do. I list a few of my favorite things about my favorite holidays.

Halloween - Dressing up and attending Trunk or Treat at my church. Also watching Halloween movies for the whole month October. (by the way i'm going to dress up as a 50's girl this yearπŸ˜‰)

Thanksgiving - Well... I have to admit the food hehe. Watching the parade also and putting up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving night and now for the past 4 years working on Thanksgiving has been a bit exciting for me.

Christmas - Celerating our Lord and Saviour's birthday of course. And... movies, christmas music, christmas shopping, christmas baking, cute christmas sweaters, Christmas play at my church, christmas eve service at my church, decorations, festivities... what can I say? I love EVERYTHING about christmasπŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ‘Ό

New Year's - Um... just always happy for another year and new opportunities and changes and everything. And on New Year's Eve I love love watching the Dick Clark's Rockin New Year's Eve.

Easter - Easter is just a really moving time for me. I love watching the Passion play at my church and volunteering. I love reading the crucifixion story in the bible, I love watching movies about the Resurrection and the only non-biblical thing I like about Easter is dressing up I must say. But overall it's a great holiday.

4th of July - I love cookouts and watching fireworks and listening to throwbacks on the radio. Oh! And wearing something patriotic including my nails.

That's my favorite holidays and what I love about each one. Please feel free to share your favorite holidays and what you love about them.

The library is a great place for me to unwind and relax. I usually sit in a chair near the window and read or pray or write and it really makes me feel really peaceful.

Sometimes I may sit near the river that is right across the street from my house. I usually read there also or pray.

I also sing a bunch of songs on StarMaker in my room when I'm alone haha.

From time to time I spend my alone time crafting and listening to music and things like that.

I just thought I'd let you guys know a little bit more about me😊

The Struggle of Making Friends As An Adult

Hola!

I've had so much on my heart lately. I want to share with you how difficult it is for me at times making friends as an adult. I know when I was a teenager I had many events to attend where I could meet people such as, the library summer events, youth night and youth events at church and more. But now, since i'm in my 20's it's been a real struggle for me to find really nice friends. Oftentimes I feel like I have to be the one to put more effort in getting friends. Everywhere I go it seems like people already are with who they want to be with. At church I see cliques huddled around in their circle and at the shopping malls or other places. I just feel like i'm kind of stuck in the middle. I don't really know who I really "clique" with other than my family.

Lately, I've just been praying to God that he would lead me to the right kind of friends that I need in my life. I know that when people are desperate it can be dangerous and they end up hanging with the wrong crew. I don't want to be like that. So, even though waiting to find great friends can be very hard at times (especially when it seems like a lot of people ignore me) I can make it through this tough season of life. I know that soon i'll break more out of my shell (in a good way) and be able to experience good things in life.

The feeling of  knowing someone is trying to be your friend just because they feel sorry for you makes it even worse. I'd rather be alone than to be pitied. Sometimes I could be searching for things in the wrong places. Sometimes things happen when you least expect it.

It's sad to say but I feel like I connect with more people outside of my church than at my church. Of course, there's many nice people at my church but I just feel connected to them. I say "Hi" and then they say "Hi' back but then they go their way and I go mine. I never have seem to go beyond the initial "Hi." I have at least had a somewhat conversation with my coworkers more so than people at church.

So, to this day I still haven't found ways where I can find real friends. I guess it could be a sign to me to maybe venture out to other places. Maybe other churches and other cool events to attend too. Maybe i've come too accustomed to where I am. I really need to find my way in life and figure out who I am.

I know God has more plans for me than what I can imagine. I guess right now i'm just kind of in a waiting season. I trust that he'll give me what I need in life and more. As the song says "I will trust in you." 😊

My Goals and How I plan to Achieve Them

Hey everyone,

I have many goals and dreams that I that I always try my best at working at achieving them. Sometimes the ways of achieving them could be right in front of my eyes but I'm still busy waiting on God to show me some huge way that I have to meet these goals but really, a lot of the time the solutions are right there in the palm of my hands.

I have two main goals that I'm trying to achieve right now. That goal being, getting a good job and then save up enough money for a car and possibly get my own place.

Another one of my goals is to get better with my writing and I plan on achieving that goal by taking writing classes and writing daily in my journal (and even blogging haha) and also practice some exercises from various writing books. I also plan just to push myself everyday to try to at least write something and continue to stay motivated and everything. I know that writing is one of my gifts and I'd like to use it to glorify God.

Another one of my passions is singing. Singing is something where I feel I can just let go and be my myself. Music gets in my bones and I can't escape the feeling the adrenaline and joy I get through music. It truly is a healer for me in a lot of ways and when I'm going through something really tough, I go somewhere quiet and just sing a song and it's really like an escape for me. I thank God so much for giving us the gift of music. I plan on achieving my singing goal by practicing daily and doing vocal exercises and StarMaker helps me a ton and it's also fun!😁

So, with all of this practice and effort I believe that it'll all pay off one day. I'm thankful for all of the  support I have already. I know God will open doors for me. He already has opened a few doors and I'm ready for whatever else he has that lies ahead of me.

My All Time Favorite Tv ShowπŸ“Ί

Hey guys!
I'm sorry that I've been slacking with my blog posts but I've been having blogger's block. I've been researching on ways to keep my readers interested and it hasn't been that easy. Certain topics I come up with are good but I'm not always able to elaborate on them. Anyway, I'm back and I want to try my best to be consistent with my blogging.

I love tv shows and I wanted to share with you some of my all time favorite shows. From my childhood to now.

Zoom - it was a kids tv show on PBS and it was basically a show about middle school aged kids talking about different topics, it showed them making snacks and crafts and of course, they had this thing called "ubbi dubbi" I loved watching that show as a kid. I always wanted to be on there but I never tried to audition.

Another one of my favorites was the Powerpuff Girls - it was a show about three sisters that had powers. Here's a more detailed description
Accidentally created in a lab by Professor Utonium, superpowered sisters Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup regularly save Townsville from evildoers such as Mojo Jojo, the Gangreen Gang and Him. Blossom is the self-proclaimed leader of the trio, Bubbles is the cute one and Buttercup is the toughest one.
I watched that show faithfully everyday. Good times.

Totally Spies - Another Cartoon Network television show and it's a tv show I still like today. The story of the show is self explanatory haha. Three teenage girls who are spies, you get the point.

I'll list some of my favorite Disney shows now.

That's So Raven - I was a huge fan of Raven Symone as a kid.

Kim Possible

Hannah Montana - what little girl didn't like Hannah Montana from 2007-2010?

Good Luck Charlie - another show I like now also hehe☺️

Jonas -because I was obsessed with anything the Jonas Brothers did

Nickelodeon shows: iCarly, Victorious, All That, Zoey 101

Tower Prep

The Price is Right

The Seven- MTV show

TRL

The Buried Life

Flight 29 Down

The Ellen Degeneres Show

Alright folks, that concludes my list of my all time favorite shows. I hope you are enjoying the posts that you read so far. Please feel free to give me your feedback. Also, let me know some of your favorite tv shows.

I have created 50 posts! Yay!! 😊

I've created 50 + posts now. I'm so excited. I have a few videos I'll upload to celebrate this accomplishment. I'm also happy that my blog is growing. I have about 6 followers now and it's a small number but I believe it's growing for sure.

If you enjoy my posts, please don't forget to subscribe so you can get all of the latest updates the minute I post something.

Who and what Inspires Me?

Hi people,

There's many people that I admire for a few things. There's a few things I admire in my family and a few in my friends. But a person who inspires me musically and spiritually is Lacey Sturm.

I've read her book The Reason
And it was very moving. It was a good story about her personal struggles in life like drugs, heartbreak, atheism, being somewhat poor and more. I cried reading certain parts of the book. I could almost feel Lacey's pain through reading this book. This book was raw and she wasn't afraid to open up about her personal struggles.

The beautiful part about this book is how she triumphed. She was ready to end her life when God came in just in time to save her and remind her that "there's a reason why she's still here on earth."
Lacey had such a hard life but through her music she was able to heal from all the pain and through Flyleaf's music I'm able to heal also. I know I've had some personal struggles myself, maybe not as intense as Lacey's but I definitely can relate to when you feel like you're at your lowest point in life and you've done all you can. I'll share the description with you so you can get a better picture of what the story is about
There is a reason you exist . . .

The day Lacey Sturm planned to kill herself was the day her old life ended. As an atheist who hated Christians, she thought church was a place for hypocrites, fakers, and simpletons. After a screaming match with her grandmother, she ended up in the back of a sanctuary, hating everyone in the room. But what happened in that room is The Reason she is alive today.

With raw vulnerability, this hard rock princess tells her story of physical abuse, depression, suicidal struggles, and more--and her ultimate salvation. She asks the hard questions-- Why am I here? Why am I empty? Why should I go on living?--showing that beyond the temporary highs and the soul-crushing lows is a reason each of us exists and a purpose for our lives.

Lacey Sturm is my inspiration because her passion for music and God shows. Whether she has to scream it out or sing it in a soft melody she'll reveal her passion for music and God is real. I don't usually admire any celebrities or anything like that but I don't like Lacey just because she's a great singer but because she's 100% real. Her lyrics, her stories, her voice is real. I know that my dream is to one day share my love for God to the world through music. I know God has given me gifts and I know sooner or later I'll need to publicly express my love for God. And I want people to know me through my music in a real and honest way. I want to express my feelings, thoughts and my heart through my music. I hope that every lyric may bring meaning to someone's life. Because of the dark world we live in today, in praying that people can at least escape from the disasters for a moment and find joy through music. I know hope is still alive and we can find that hope.

So, I wrote this post to talk about who my inspiration is and how I find inspiration which is through music and writing. When I feel down, I go to my notes on my phone or in my notebook and I just jot down my thoughts or I write down a prayer. Those things really give me a lift. Other times I find a song in my library and just mediate on the lyrics and let the music flow into my heart. I cry listening to certain worship songs. Songs like "Let the Heavens Open" by Kari Jobe and "Flood the Earth" by Jesus Culture allows me to really feels God's presence no matter what I'm going through.

Of course God is my number inspiration and Lacey Sturm is my inspiration in the music industry. My mom is my second inspiration after God even though we have our differences and misunderstandings we bond in our own way at times.

So, I hope you enjoyed reading this post and that you'll feel free to leave your comments on this post. Also, let me know what's some things you'd like me to post about on my blog. I'd love to hear your feedback.

That's all for now guys, much love to ya! Bye πŸ‘‹

Devotional I Read Today

Here's a devotional I read today, then I'll give my thoughts on it at the end.
I just finished day 18 of the @YouVersion plan '21 Days of Rightful Relationships '. Check it out here: Day 18 –Searching for love in all the wrong places
When I really pursued God, my worries regarding relationships finally came to an end. I was no longer worried if a relationship would work out. As a matter of fact, I pulled away from many relationships so that I could clearly hear from God. I finally came to a point where I wanted all of my relationships to be divinely connected by God.
So, I began to seek Him. I mean really seek Him. I would create appointments or dates with God to set aside time where I could read and study my Word. This is where I began to truly conquer relationships. It was through His love and mercy that I finally had the ability to decipher between good and Godly choices.
Not only was I able to discern the right relationships He had for my life, I was able to build better ones. I was finally in a place where I knew how to connect with those who meant the most to me. I committed to listen more, to put my selfish desires aside and pray for my loved ones daily. I now consider my loved ones’ needs. And finally, I pray for our relationships more, simply asking God to maintain them so the devil does not destroy our connections.
Get into His Word
During my time of getting to know God, I began to see my relationship concerns through His eyes. Before this time, my thoughts were heavy and I was often running on “autopilot.” I would allow anyone to enter my inner circle without first seeking Him. As a result, I would wonder why a business or personal connection would fail or why certain relationships did not turn out as I desired.
But then God made something very clear to me. He will not withhold any good thing from me (Psalm 84:11)! Also, He said rest in my pavilion and I will protect you from dangers (Psalm 27:5). Wow! God is telling us what He has for us is simply for us. Therefore, if a relationship is not working out, understand that this relationship may not be a part of His plan for you or this may not be the time. Continue to read and obey His Word and the right relationships will begin to foster.

This is something I needed to do also. I came to the realization that my current relationships were somewhat collapsing because though we believe in God and call ourselves christians, we weren't fully connecting to God as much as we should have been. We thought too much of what we wanted out of each other other than how we can help each other grow and nurture the friendship.

Almost everyday it seemed like I ran into some kind of issue with either one of my friends or one of my family members. I cried and became so frustrated with all of my current relationships. There were so many times where I felt like quitting, on my friendships at least. But just recently we came upon a decision that we really have to stop fussing and doing all of these other things that may not be pointing to God. We have to truly start focusing on God and really begin to have our friendship divinely connected to God just like this devotional said.

Now, we all mess up and we just recently adopted to this change but I know through prayer and spending time in God's word we'll be the kinds of friends that God wants us to be.

Even now, i'm still facing a few challenges with my friend and at times I get frustrated with him and annoyed with him and more and I realized that it's not always HIM that needs to change but sometimes ME. I have to make that commitment of being a better friend and try to just go somewhere and calm down when I feel my emotions exploding. When I have personal issues and at times the issues get unbearable, I'm sometimes am not able to speak to anyone.

I know I have a lot to learn but the more I live the more i'll learn and with God's help i'll be the person that he has created me to be.

Originating Change Within Me

Recently, I made a list of ways that I have changed within the last ten years. I compared the things I wrote about and thought about in my ...
