TRL is back!

Hey,
So I just found out that TRL is coming back this Monday and I'm soo excited. That was one of my favorite shows and it had a lot of my favorite musicians on there. To hear it's coming back reminds me of my teen years when me and my sister used to watch it every weekday afternoon. When one of our favorite artists are on TRL it was a big event for us.

Leave your comments and let me know if you're a fan of TRL and if you're excited about its return.

Devotional I Read Today

Here's a devotional I read today, then I'll give my thoughts on it at the end.
I just finished day 18 of the @YouVersion plan '21 Days of Rightful Relationships '. Check it out here: Day 18 –Searching for love in all the wrong places
When I really pursued God, my worries regarding relationships finally came to an end. I was no longer worried if a relationship would work out. As a matter of fact, I pulled away from many relationships so that I could clearly hear from God. I finally came to a point where I wanted all of my relationships to be divinely connected by God.
So, I began to seek Him. I mean really seek Him. I would create appointments or dates with God to set aside time where I could read and study my Word. This is where I began to truly conquer relationships. It was through His love and mercy that I finally had the ability to decipher between good and Godly choices.
Not only was I able to discern the right relationships He had for my life, I was able to build better ones. I was finally in a place where I knew how to connect with those who meant the most to me. I committed to listen more, to put my selfish desires aside and pray for my loved ones daily. I now consider my loved ones’ needs. And finally, I pray for our relationships more, simply asking God to maintain them so the devil does not destroy our connections.
Get into His Word
During my time of getting to know God, I began to see my relationship concerns through His eyes. Before this time, my thoughts were heavy and I was often running on “autopilot.” I would allow anyone to enter my inner circle without first seeking Him. As a result, I would wonder why a business or personal connection would fail or why certain relationships did not turn out as I desired.
But then God made something very clear to me. He will not withhold any good thing from me (Psalm 84:11)! Also, He said rest in my pavilion and I will protect you from dangers (Psalm 27:5). Wow! God is telling us what He has for us is simply for us. Therefore, if a relationship is not working out, understand that this relationship may not be a part of His plan for you or this may not be the time. Continue to read and obey His Word and the right relationships will begin to foster.

This is something I needed to do also. I came to the realization that my current relationships were somewhat collapsing because though we believe in God and call ourselves christians, we weren't fully connecting to God as much as we should have been. We thought too much of what we wanted out of each other other than how we can help each other grow and nurture the friendship.

Almost everyday it seemed like I ran into some kind of issue with either one of my friends or one of my family members. I cried and became so frustrated with all of my current relationships. There were so many times where I felt like quitting, on my friendships at least. But just recently we came upon a decision that we really have to stop fussing and doing all of these other things that may not be pointing to God. We have to truly start focusing on God and really begin to have our friendship divinely connected to God just like this devotional said.

Now, we all mess up and we just recently adopted to this change but I know through prayer and spending time in God's word we'll be the kinds of friends that God wants us to be.

Even now, i'm still facing a few challenges with my friend and at times I get frustrated with him and annoyed with him and more and I realized that it's not always HIM that needs to change but sometimes ME. I have to make that commitment of being a better friend and try to just go somewhere and calm down when I feel my emotions exploding. When I have personal issues and at times the issues get unbearable, I'm sometimes am not able to speak to anyone.

I know I have a lot to learn but the more I live the more i'll learn and with God's help i'll be the person that he has created me to be.

Being a woman in your 20’s

Hello Lovely People, I've been M.I.A because i've been sick for the past few days so I haven't the energy to do much of anything and i'm very sorry about that. But i'm back now and ready to continue on my blogging journey.

I want to share a little topic with you about being a woman in her 20's. Well... i'll start with saying it's been an emotional roller coaster. When I first turned 20 it didn't feel much different from being a teen but as a few months past by after my birthday I start having a lot of anxiety problems I would say. Everyday I woke up worrying about my future. I kept worrying that I may become a failure. It just seemed like everything in my life was falling apart all at once.

During my anxiety stage, I took a break from just about everything. Writing, singing, school and all of the above. I went through a small depression I would say. Some days I didn't feel pretty and some days I felt i'll never be accepted. So, here I am thinking that once I reach my 20's all of those teenage problems I had may disappear. But it actually only got worse. Because I had all of these expectations of myself to be at this point of my life at this age. But it just wasn't going that way.

But, one day God spoke to me and all I could hear him say is "don't give up" God reminded me that i'm worth more than what I can see. even though I may not have what other people have I have my own unique way about me and if no one else thinks i'm special, i'm always special in God's eyes. From there on out I began to read devotionals about joy and peace and it really helped me change my thinking and my view of myself. I kept telling myself I can't keep searching for happiness through people and material things but I must first find true satisfaction in God. If God is out of the picture then I believe everything else in my life will begin to go haywire. I didn't keep obsessing over my future or anything else in my life but begin to find complete peace in God.

Though, I still have my struggles from day to day about finding true friends or career goals and relationships and such, I can still rest assured that nothing is out of God's control and that I can always talk to him about anything and he will understand. So, yes i've had my share of struggles but at least i'll always know that my struggles aren't so unbearable where I can't bring them to God. That's why I love this scripture,
that scripture has really spoken to me and has left a great affect on me.

Also, when I turned twenty I began to really have feelings for someone which is... another issue that i'll have to discuss in another blog post. I'll say that we both finally have come to an conclusion about things and are both at peace with things. And even through all of the drama and stress I still see God working in some way. he's strengthening us both through this time.

But anyway, enough about the drama and everything but i'll tell you some great things I have accomplished as a 20 something year old haha. I went to my first writing classes which was something i always wanted to do and it was a great learning experience, i've discovered some new hobbies such as blogging and designing, i've made a few friends (one is in the process of potentially becoming a stronger friendship) and the other would be my best friend as of right now and others would just be aquaintances, I went to see my favorite band - that being Onerepublic; and I believe I have more but that's all my little brain can remember at the time. I will promise to add more of my accomplishments as a twenty something year old when I think of them.

Well, I can say life has had its ups and downs but in the words of Onerepublic "things are only getting better" so in my opinion I think things will start getting better than worse. Please share your thoughts on this post and let me know what you think of my blog also. I always love to see your feedback. Please follow or subscribe whichever hehe. Much love, Kammy😊💜💜

The reason I started a blog

Hello everyone!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I've been working super hard building this blog and though the progress seems to be slow, it's been enjoyable for sure. I wanted to share with you why I started blogging in the first place.

Firstly, writing is a huge part of my life and it's something I truly enjoy doing. I always post many things on google plus but I was beginning to feel like it just doesn't do writing justice.

One day I began searching for journal-type of social media sites and I find many and joined a few but nothing hit me. Those sites I joined, shortly after I deleted those accounts because the sites weren't providing me what I wanted. Later, I continued browsing the internet and then I found a blogging site that's apart of google and I thought that was fantastic because I didn't have to create a password or username, I could just use my email. In that instant I just knew this would be my new hobby for awhile. I designed my website and I was soo excited!

I wanted blogging to be a public journal. I didn't have specific topics I wanted to talk about but I just knew once I started that I'd go from there. Here on my blog I'll basically talk about EVERYTHING! I really would like to have a great community of people to join in and share their interest with me and give their thoughts on some of the things I post. I plan on posting some vlogs of my travel adventures and post some cool pictures of my many adventures also.

I believe that this blogging site means much more to me than just me having a website, it's my way of expressing myself and sharing it with others. I continue to hope my blogging community will grow.

Also, I want to give a big thank you to my best friend who encouraged me to start a blog. I'm thankful that I have people like that in my life that believe in me and want to see me succeed. I know by doing this blog it's inspired me tremendously to continue writing. Thank you to everyone also who's supporting me in this journey.

My ideal day

Greetings lovely people,
I want to tell you about what my ideal day would be.

First, I would go to a cool burger place and then eat ice cream after that 😋🍦
Then me and my friends would go to a cool concert and play some fun music on the way to the concert.

Another ideal day would be just hanging with friends either at West Hartford center or New York (haha, big difference).  I think that's about it! Please feel free to share yours.

What has been the best year of your life so far?

Hey everybody,
I was curious about what your best year may have been so far. I would say the best year for me was 2008 because Disney was pretty hot then and I did many fun things as my 12 year old self. Me and my sister were a bit obsessed with the Jonas Brothers and in 2008 was Jonas Brother biggest year in my opinion. We went to see them in concert on July 26th, 2008. We were super excited! We got there pretty early so we could get in on all of the Jonas mania. There were girls with "Mrs. Jonas" on their t-shirts and even painted on their faces. You almost had to have a favorite Jonas Brother if you were a fan. The Nick Jonas, the youngest Jonas Brother had the majority of favorites.

Later we were walking to the venue and talking to many exciting fans, (including the moms haha). Then in the like food vendor area there were a few pre-concert things for us to do such as: play guitar hero with hologram Jonas Brothers i believe, take a picture with cardboard cutout Jonas Brothers, write notes 📝 to the Jonas Brothers and they supposedly were going to read them onstage, (that didn't happen 😒) and a few other things were available for us to do like contest and open mic and such.

Then, we went to our seats and got a little bit of Demi Lovato, who was the opening act. After Demi's set we sat and waited and waited while fans texted different messages on the big screen showing their excitement. And THEN, the moment we've all been waiting for... Kevin, Nick and Joe THE JONAS BROTHERS!!!😱😭👧🏾👧🏼👧🏻👧🏽👧 and the whole theatre erupted with tons of screaming tween girls. It was epic. They started out with "That's Just The Way We Roll."

After the concert girls were running after a bus that they thought the Jonas Brothers were in haha. That night I got a Jonas Brothers t-shirt and a glow stick. What a night.

2008 also had great tv shows on. Plus in November we went to see The Cheetah Girls on their One World tour. It was a birthday gift for me.

It was also the best Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's for me. Good times.

A season for everything

Hey there,
Here's a great article called "A Season for Everything" which is from ymi.today, a Christian young adult website talking about all sorts of things on many different topics. I heard about this website by looking through an Our Daily Bread calendar. I was really excited to hear about a Christian website geared towards young adults. I hope you guys can check it out sometime! I posted the website right here on my blog so it'll be convenient for you guys to visit the ymi.today website while you're browsing my website. http://ymi.today/2017/07/a-season-for-everythinghttp://ymi.today/2017/07/a-season-for-everything/

Taylor Swift's new image

After watching Taylor Swift's new music video and hearing her new songs I'm seeing a morea darker and almost scarier Taylor Swift that I once known from my 15 year old self. I remember going to her concert back in 2011 and I thought she was so pretty with her sparkly dress and sparkly guitar. She has been a role model to so many young girls and brought them so much joy as they listened to her music.

The new Taylor just portrays a Taylor that isn't a role model and that just wants to get revenge. Coming from someone who was once a small fan of Taylor Swift is not at all excited about her new music or anything else that she does. I shouldn't be surprised about how she's changed because so many Disney stars have grown up and shattered their once clean image. Though Taylor Swift isn't a Disney star she still has been loved by so many young girls. But Taylor Swift is just one of the many young stars who has changed their image. I do believe there are some singers that still try to keep a good image and try to inspire both young girls and boys. Singers like Britt Nicole, Lauren Daigle, Colton Dixon, Jamie Grace and more are some of the singers that work hard at making positive music for young people and I truly respect that. Even though even they aren't perfect I still feel like they are great role models for young people. My dream is to do the same one day. To continue to empower young people's lives with positivity.

Happy Labor Day

Hi all,
Happy Labor Day! I hope those hard workers enjoyed their day off and I hope those who had to work still made the most of their day. I had a pretty decent day. I went around Farmington area just enjoying the views and such. Then I went to a few stores and I saw some cute shoes at Marshall's.

Part of my day I was thinking about a few things I'm trying to figure out in my life. Sometimes the things that I go through where I have to be patient is hard and sometimes I'm able to tolerate it ok. But I know through prayer God will give me the strength, endurance and encouragement that I need to help me get through this season of life. I know as I continue to trust in God's process I'll soon begin to see everything unfolding.

List of favorite seasonal foods and drinks.

Hi all,
Here's a list of my favorite seasonal foods and drinks:

Pumpkin muffin from Dunkin' Donuts
Pumpkin bagel from Brueggers
Caramel Brûlée from Starbucks
Vanilla cupcake latte from Dunkin Donuts
Sweet potato pie
Cranberry Seven Up
Stuffing with cranberry sauce

And that's about it! I think of more I'll add some.

Revival Weekend at Crossroad Community Cathedral part 2

Hey everyone!
Sunday's revival service was great also and video today was awesome!

Revival Weekend at Crossroads Community Cathedral

Hey there!
Saturday night service for the revival was great and very moving. Evangelist Doug Eccles is a great speaker and I can really feel the spirit of God in him. I was so amazed at how the whole church was praying and crying, I haven't seen my church like that in a long time. I am a camera operator for this weekend, (I've been doing camera at my church for about 1 year and a half). It was really fun trying to keep up with Doug. I saw my friend, (my friend with potential haha) we talked and laughed. We haven't had really good conversations in awhile. Let me change that, we have but even though the time we see each other is short it's always really nice.

That's all for today. Goodbye until next time.

Lastest post about pop culture

Follow Hey all, I just wanted to give you guys a little clarification about my lastest post. I wasn't at all saying that songs, books, movies that talk about love is bad, but my point is that they make love seem cheap. Love is good, but cheap love isn't. Hopefully you're getting my point. Here's a scripture that I love that talks about what love should be:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
http://bible.com/111/1co.13.4-7.niv

Here's some other Christian articles I read that talks about true love
We can only identify true love and know when we have found it, based on the Word of God. When we match our relationships up to what the Bible says that love is—and we are honestly prepared to make a life-long commitment to that person—then we can say that we are truly “in love.” The three keys to that statement are:
We have to…
  1. …look at the Word of God
  2. …be completely honest with ourselves
  3. …understand the level of commitment that comes with true love
Sex is not love! Our culture has taught us that sex and love are one in the same. This is a lie. Sex is a beautiful God-given activity that is wonderful when practiced within the boundaries of a Biblical marriageSex is the completion of the binding of two people within Biblical marriage; it is a God-given gift.

    Pre-marital sex

Because premarital sex is not love, it only leads to pain and disappointment for those who are seeking that love. The Bible says that when two people are married, they become one flesh (Ephesians 5:31). Sex is consummation of that union. When two people break off their relationship after having sex, it is like ripping apart flesh. This is why two teenagers will struggle so much and become so dependent on those they give their bodies to. In light of I Corinthians 13:4-8(above), it is easy to see that premarital sex is not patient, it is not kind, it does not protect, it is self-seeking. It is not love!
This article should pretty much explain what I was saying. Today's entertainment makes us think of love the opposite of what the Bible teaches. I believe as long as we continue to believe what the Bible says about love and everything else we won't let today's entertainment allow us to think otherwise.

Originating Change Within Me

Recently, I made a list of ways that I have changed within the last ten years. I compared the things I wrote about and thought about in my ...
